An esteemed choir from Chester is preparing to perform a special concert that was delayed due to Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. The Chester Festival Chorus’ “Music All Around Me” concert will feature performances of light classical pieces by Edward Elgar, Thomas Tallis, and Charles Villiers Stanford a cappella. The concert will donate 50% of the proceeds to Chester Aid For The Homeless. The concert will be led by the choir’s popular conductor Ellie Slorach, who is based in Manchester. Chester Cycle Tours is running a series of FREE events in February and March to get adults back on their bikes and pedalling around the city. The event, which is totally free, is sponsored by Cycling UK, the aim of which is to give people who are new to cycling or haven’t cycled in a while the confidence to ride on Chester’s roads. A new authentic artisan bakery is set to launch in the village of Bradwall, just a short distance from Sandbach, creating jobs and breathing new life into the Village Hall. Bradwall Bakehouse will produce incredible artisan bread for the local community and plans to use locally-sourced ingredients that support the rural community it serves. The new bakery, located at Bradwall Village Hall, is currently undergoing refurbishment with the aim to open for business in late spring 2022. Chester celebrated Art Box’s launch with artists, celebrities, and locals. The newly opened gallery now provides a professional gallery setting for talented local artists looking for a platform to sell their work. The gallery was officially opened by Ainsley Harriott and more than 50 artists and locals attended the launch event. On display was a wide range of artwork and attendees were treated to a glass of fizz and canapes.
