There is a new magical trail through a festive forest at Delamere Forest in the run-up to Christmas. Delamere Forest after dark has a new illuminated trail that will take families through a festive forest to enjoy the season.
Delamere Forest is a large forest situated in Cheshire’s village of Delamere. There are 972 hectares in the woodland managed by Forestry England, making it the county’s largest woodland area.
Enjoy the beauty of brilliantly lighted tunnels, giant baubles, and trees flecked with jewel-like colours as you explore them with your friends, family, and loved ones.
The fire garden provides a peaceful environment in which visitors can sit and contemplate the flickering flames, surrounded by the forests of Delamere. The trial will be full of surprises for families, especially for those with young children, who might just spot Father Christmas on their way.
As you enjoy a walk under the stars on the brand new magical trail, you can enjoy a hot chocolate, spiced winter warmer, or toasted marshmallow to celebrate the holiday season.
Ticket sales are now open with timed entry and limited capacity. Book a time and date now to ensure your spot. The illuminated trail requires you to select a time slot during the booking process in order to avoid overcrowding and ensure everyone’s enjoyment. Generally, slots run every 15 minutes between 4.30 pm and 8.30 pm, depending on the date.
Ticket prices vary between £8 and £70 with parking included, so you may want to book well in advance. On the day of the event, tickets can be purchased from the organisers official ticketing partner, see available dates and tickets here.
