Any house can become the home of your dreams with the help of a Chester mum with a knack for staging and interior design.

There is a popular trend in home staging, more and more professionals are showing up in our social media feeds, claiming their expertise will help anyone preparing to sell their home sell faster and for the most amount of money possible and this Chester mum certainly has the knack for it.

Rachel Turner works in financial services during the day and runs the lifestyle blog Oh My Edwardian, which provides inspiration for retro-style living and interior design. She shares her Chester-based 909 Edwardian Villa with her husband and daughter, a spacious home that she designed for elegance, but without being too precious.

Her newfound talent for interior design allows her to stage their home in the most alluring way while choosing items from local businesses that accommodate their lifestyle.

When renovating our house I wanted to make the most of the beautiful original Edwardian features, like our hallway tiles, and also create a comfortable family home. I love colour so I really wanted to find a way to use all of my favourite colours. The interior is mainly green and pink with lots of blue and yellow threw in as well. Going into this I didn’t know a single thing about interior design so I used Instagram to do research, looking at photos of real people’s homes for inspiration.

Asked how she supports local businesses, Racheal eagerly spoke about her love of Lucy Donovan Art (Instagram: @lucydonovanart), an abstract artist based in Cheshire.

I think I have her work in almost every room! I have several prints and I also have a couple of originals. The abstract painting next to my living room fireplace and the painting above the playroom fireplace are Lucy Donovans.

Embracing a new culture and being inspired by interior design are both wonderful benefits of living in Cheshire. It is wonderful to have our very own interior designer who can inspire us by showing us the possibilities of making our dream homes or pursuing a career in home staging.

As a result of her work, Instagram star Rachel transformed her Chester home into a stunning Cheshire house, gaining thousands of followers and inspiring countless others to dream of living there. Her social media channels receive traffic from homeowners, interior designers and real estate agents looking for home stagers.

Oh, My Edwardian Instagram account shows how to create stunning home staging and the interior design looks using tips from Homegoods. For tips on staging rental apartments, furniture, accessories and how to stage your homes like a pro or brand partnership, visit Oh My Edwardian, a lifestyle and interior design blog on Instagram.
