Knutsford Music Festival has been postponed to August 2021 by organisers Knutsford Town Council. The Knutsford festival, renowned for hosting an array of local musicians, has posted a statement on its website and social media platforms, announcing the decision to cancel all events until August 2021.
Coronavirus’s effect on the art world has prompted endless music festivals and shows being scrapped or deferred with theaters and exhibitions shut.
So far festival organisers nationwide are saying canceling is the best option for saving lives, until they can be sure that festivals will be able to play shows in a way that is safe for fans and crew. Others have pushed gigs back to the furthest limit of the year, trusting the infection will be leveled out by at that point. The circumstance outlines the difficulties confronting the live music industry, which has been annihilated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organisers of the Knutsford music festivals promise to bring a good cheer to the community as they arrange to bring music directly to the town center streets as musicians to entertain shoppers and visitors throughout the festival weekend.
Any musicians wanting to apply to perform at this year’s festival can still get in touch by contacting info@knutsfordmusicfestival.com.
Knutsford Town Council will continue to monitor the current lockdown situation and whether the event can go ahead and will provide updates to the public as plans proceed. For full updates and news you can visit www.knutsfordmusicfestival.com or follow the festival on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
