A luxurious destination spa is being developed at the Manor House Hotel in Alsager, Cheshire, with plans to open this Easter. The independent family-owned Manor House Hotel, which began as a farmhouse in the 17th century, has announced plans for a new luxury destination spa, with the first phase opening in April 2022.
Nestled in the East Cheshire countryside, the hotel boasts 52 stylish bedrooms, modern conference and banqueting facilities, and a renowned AA Rosette restaurant; The Stables Bar & Grill, serving delicious, locally sourced meals and fine wines. With the new spa due for completion in autumn, The Manor House Hotel will become one of the most popular spa destinations in the UK.
This new development is inspired by the hotel’s picturesque rural location and provides both indoor and outdoor wellness experiences, taking advantage of the natural light and fresh air of rural Cheshire. The spa will serve as a place for guests to relax, recharge, and spend time with friends and loved ones.
The first phase developments opening this Easter include a stylish new 15-metre serenity swimming pool with a surrounding boardwalk, glass ceiling and luxurious sofas including an Instagram worthy hanging day bed. Poolside, guests can also enjoy relaxing in the new Finnish sauna and steam room.
Three new treatment rooms have been built within the original farmhouse and include two for double treatments and one for single. There is also a quiet relaxation lounge for post-treatments. British spa brand Tribe517 has been selected by the hotel to provide a range of face and body treatments including indulgent and therapeutic massages and refining facials using hand-blended natural ingredients. The stunning new changing rooms provide guests with lockers, showers and all modern facilities for a comfortable visit.
Outdoors in the new courtyard, a Salt Shed experience offers a Himalayan Salt wall, lavender cauldron and ergonomic seating where guests can relax in 40-degree heat with a guided meditation session whilst experiencing the respiratory and deep relaxation benefits.
Announcing the first phase opening of the spa, Jessica Mellors, General Manager at Manor House Alsager said; “The development of our beautiful new spa is part of our mission to become a leading leisure destination and bring an exciting new spa experience to the area. The new spa complements our successful Hotel & AA Rosette restaurant offering and will enable us to offer guests a wider well-being experience.
Currently under construction and expected to be completed by autumn 2022 is the spa’s signature spa experience – the English Spa Garden. Embracing the English countryside, the spa will combine quintessential landscaping and country garden planting with modern wellness experiences. The facilities include a panoramic sauna, a steam room, a spa pool, as well as heated seating areas in cosy outdoor areas. Spa guests can relax and enjoy the spa dining area and relaxation areas onsite, or book an overnight spa retreat to extend their experience.
