Kenyon Hall Farm
Owners Todd and Barbara Bulmer have been running Kenyon Hall Farm in Croft, near Warrington, since 1978. The farm has been in Tod’s family since before 1500. They were first tenant farmers and then owners when Tod’s grandfather, Walter Boardman, bought the land in 1919.
The team at TGC visited the farm and gathered all the necessary information with answers to questions guests may have before their visit.
What other fruits can I pick here? Raspberries, tayberries, redcurrants, and blackcurrants
Can I do any other activity at Kenyon Hall Farm during my visit? As well as fruit, you can buy fresh vegetables on the farm. Fresh vegetables grown on the farm are sold at a stall on the farm. Furthermore, the farm offers the opportunity to pick strawberries at their excellent ‘table-tops, where the strawberries are elevated off the ground. Picnicking on the farm is an option, and bringing a slice of fresh bread and whipped cream is an excellent way to enjoy your fresh strawberries.
Is there a fee for entering? Strawberry picking on Tuesdays is sold out, but on other days, entry is £4.50. Expect the strawberry fields to be closed on Thursdays and Fridays to allow more fruit to ripen. This week, the first blackcurrants will be available to pick every day with no booking required – just show up before 4 pm and ask a member of staff for containers.
