The Cocktail Week Co is launching Chester Cocktail Week running from 20th-26th September, celebrating the best the city’s hospitality scene has to offer.

The hospitality industry in Chester is coming together to stage a series of cocktail-themed events across the city, including a special “thank you” to NHS staff and other keyworkers for their tireless efforts during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Participating venues include Prohibition, The Suburbs, Exotic Booze Club, Liquor & Co, Bar Lounge, among others. In addition to hospitality deals, wristband holders will also receive discounts from a variety of local businesses, including retailers, hair salons and restaurants, contributing to making the week an all-encompassing city-wide celebration.

In order to allow guests to enjoy specially crafted cocktails, wristbands will be available for a generous price of £5 while drinks brands are providing special promotions during the week-long celebration of Chester’s top hospitality venues, creating a win-win partnership for all parties to help them recover from the pandemic.

During this time, cocktail enthusiasts can attend masterclasses by distillers, gin tastings, and enjoy live music from Jonathan Nickoll (the resident pianist at the American Bar at London’s Savoy Hotel), plus a Bartender’s Brunch for hospitality workers, and much more.

Organisers have partnered with So Let’s Talk, mental health advocates for the hospitality industry, who will also be running a series of seminars for workers as part of the events calendar.

Speaking about the week-long event, James Nicolian, founder of The Cocktail Week Co said:

“We are so excited to celebrate the power of positive drinking during Chester Cocktail Week. We’re pleased to create an affordable opportunity for guests to rediscover their city and check out new venues, and revisit their old favourites whilst learning about the craft of Cocktail culture. What a great way to enjoy Chester again!”

To celebrate the reopening of hospitality, The Cocktail Week Co is also giving away thousands of wristbands to thank Key Workers who kept the country running during the COVID lockdowns. The wristbands are free of charge for Key Workers in the NHS, educators, council employees, Front line and emergency workers, plus students and hospitality workers, as thanks for their tireless efforts during the pandemic.

Chester residents are also invited to enter the “Win Cocktails for a Year Competition” for the chance to win 52 vouchers for 2 x cocktails to enjoy in venues across the city.  The competition is free to enter via www.chester-cocktailweek.com

The Cocktail Week Co is also launching a “Drinks for Good” initiative, donating 50p from every wristband sold to The One Foundation, which helps eradicate water poverty in the world’s poorest communities.
