Spring is one of the busiest times of the year for TATTON Park, while public playgrounds have remained open for children to use during the third Covid lockdown, businesses offering fun days out for youngsters were forced to close.

The good news is, most plan to reopen fully on April 13th – a day late from when we earmark on the return of non-essential retail and pubs outdoors. This year we are especially looking forward to that feeling of new beginnings, new life, and new hope for a better year as the park will be welcoming visitors back to show off their lovely farm and animals again.

To welcome back guests, staff have done a big spring clean, power washed the pens and repainting the walls. Luna, the mommy pig is due a litter of piglets just before Easter, welcoming two new additions to the herd.

Visitors of all ages are welcome, and from April 12 groups according to the two household limit or ‘rule of six’ are being welcomed back onto the site. Horses and Donkeys, Friar, Tabitha, and Sensation are back being ridden out in the park now the weather has improved and the ground is less hard or slippy.

The members of staff have been busy training donkeys this last few months and they are looking forward to meeting guests.

Tatton Park’s Parkland, Stables take-away, and Housekeeper’s Store remain covid-safe and open under national lockdown rules in line with Government guidelines permitting local outdoor exercise, food shops, and take-away food. Please check Lockdown regulations before traveling and stay local – Read our latest covid-19 update here.

Reopening on the whole occasions is dependent upon Government rules, so it is in every case best to beware visit the websites prior to making any bookings. Keep up to date with the latest seasonal news and events at Tatton Park here.
