There will be a magical Christmas lights trail, a spectacular fireworks display, and an illuminating market at Cheshire castle this year.

Bolesworth Estate has announced plans for thirty nights of festive lights that will allow visitors special access to some of the spectacular grounds surrounding the historic house near Tattenhall.

The 1.2-mile trail, at Bolesworth from November 26th through to Christmas Eve, will guide young ‘adventurers and their families through an enchanted winter wonderland after dark where there will be a rainbow of floodlit trees, lights that twinkle by the lakeside and sparkling walkways with laser lit bridges.

The route will include Father Christmas’ reindeer and a festive food and drinks market, so visitors can stock up on seasonal treats. Children of all ages will be able to visit Father Christmas in his grotto. Ice skating will also be available, along with a laser and light show every evening.

Nina Barbour, Managing Director of Bolesworth, said:

“This is the first time we have staged a Christmas event at Bolesworth and we are really looking forward to creating a magical winter wonderland for the whole family to enjoy together. We have some beautiful grounds here at Bolesworth and it will be lovely to share them with visitors during this incredibly special time of year.We are really excited to create this beautiful light, music and entertainment spectacle which can’t fail to get us all into the festive spirit.”

In addition to the light trail, Bolesworth will also be hosting extra special Christmas parties perfect for company nights out or family and friend festive get-togethers.

A festive menu will make the perfect refreshment. Guests will even have the opportunity to book a secret champagne island.

Bolesworth will have a busy year in 2021 with a variety of events scheduled through the summer and beyond. This includes three world-class equestrian shows, Chris Evans’ family favourite fundraising event, CarFest, and the Great Balloon Race, where there will be dozens of hot air balloons of all shapes and sizes ascending into the air.

Tickets for the Bolesworth Christmas Lights are now on sale. For more information, go to www.bolesworth.com/christmas. For information about further events at Bolesworth, go to www.bolesworth.com
