Bolesworth has released its first look at its upcoming spectacular Christmas celebrations, with behind-the-scenes photos showing what guests can expect of the festivities, which will run for 28 nights.

Bolesworth Castle & Grounds will transform into an illuminated winter wonderland on Friday 26th November, as the historic venue turns on its first Christmas lights trail. The sparkling and dazzling display will run until 24th December, allowing visitors to kick off Christmas with an unforgettable after-dark experience.

As well as the beautifully lit winter wonderland, there is the chance to visit Father Christmas, at Santa’s Grotto which is available to book as part of your visit. Children can have their photo taken with the special man and leave their Christmas wish list with him ready for his rounds on Christmas Eve.

The 1.2-mile magical trail, which runs until Christmas Eve, runs along the lakeside and through woodland paths and grounds to provide a magical fusion of colours, music, and unique experiences. In addition, there will be laser light shows, sparking lights, and a sculpture trail featuring some of the best local and national artists.

A VIP Champagne Island is also available at Christmastime, which can be accessed across a bridge while taking in views of the illuminated Bolesworth Castle. On cold winter nights, blankets and a glowing fire pit keep visitors warm.

Nina Barbour, Managing Director of Bolesworth, said: “Christmas is such a special time of year and we wanted to kick off the festive season with something magical for everyone to enjoy after such a difficult year for so many.

“The new enchanted Christmas lights trail is the first in our new programme of events that we have lined up and we can’t wait to welcome visitors and to share what will be a truly magical Christmas experience for all.”

This Christmas Lights Trail Event is the first in a series of new events that will be organised and hosted at Bolesworth Castle. From the young to the old, and dog-friendly too, there will be something for everyone in the coming year, as well as the established events that Bolesworth is well known for, such as CarFest and Bolesworth International Horse Show.

The Christmas light trail runs from 26th November to 24th December and tickets are available at www.bolesworth.com/christmas.

Christmas parties are also available at Bolesworth, for work colleagues or friends and family, with après ski-themed party nights running for three nights in December. Visit www.bolesworth.com/christmas-parties/ for more information.
