Organisers of the Northwich artisan market at Baron’s Quay have set a provisional reopening date for the Northwich artisan market, a report from Cheshire West, Let’s Talk Business.

The Market Co is the company behind the event and are known for delivering exceptional Artisan Markets across the region, providing a platform for the many talented artisans, small business producers, and creators to offer their handcrafted wares to the local community.

This news brings hope of better times for artisans after lockdown as the market has not gone ahead as hoped for due to the pandemic. The event works to promote markets and independent artisan traders across the UK.

Denise Valente, who organizes the artisan market, says the first event in the town should take place on Saturday the 8th of May, as long as the government’s roadmap deadlines remain as they are.

Ms. Valente told the Local Democracy Reporting Service: “For the town, it would be phenomenal because I think, as long as people still stick to the Covid secure measures which they did last year, everyone will be grateful to get back out.

It will mean a great deal for individual traders who have not been able to trade for a long time. Many of them are from Northwich and are desperate to get out and get going again. It’s very exciting.”

Other dates shown on the market’s website include June 12, July 10, August 14, and September 11.
