A first look inside The Lion at Malpas‘s newly renovated holiday cottage was released. Though the local pub already offers several popular rooms for staycations, the converted building will sleep up to six adults and three children in a quintessentially British setting.

Due to extensive interest, the cottage is already well booked up. However, booking is available for 2023 onwards, with the possibility of some vacancies at the end of this year. Updates will be released on The Lion’s social media pages.

Prior to a major renovation, the cottage served as a breakfast room for residents. However, due to the popularity of breakfast with locals and tourists, breakfast has been moved to the main pub. The cottage offers 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin), a living room with an additional sofa bed, and a meeting/dining room that can accommodate up to 10 people.

The design mimics the style which can be seen across The Lion’s other bedrooms, timeless and rustic with a flair that has received much positive feedback since the renovated pub opened its doors in the summer of 2020.

All of the rooms include an en-suite bathroom and the cottage can sleep up to 6 adults and three children in total. This makes it ideal for groups of families, friends, and wedding parties. An additional bathroom can also be found downstairs.

There’s ample choice of where to relax in The Lion’s new cottage. The living room now contains a cosy open fire, a large sofa to relax on, and a smart TV where guests can catch up on their favourite shows.

Next to the living room, there is a cosy snug area with a record player and board games, and there is a dining area, which can seat 10 comfortably for meetings. On request, a fully equipped coffee machine and an additional bar are also available.

Accessible by an entrance on the High Street, The Lion at Malpas’ new cottage has plenty of private parking for guests.

There are also easily accessible links to North Wales, Cheshire, and Shropshire with some key spots to visit when staying including Three Wrens Gin’s new distillery at Combermere, Cheshire Oaks, and Carden Park Spa. The area of Malpas also has beautiful scenery which guests can explore on the walking and cycling routes.
