Returning to the Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships (18th -22nd August), the renowned foal and embryo auction offers a first-class lineup of future stars, with seriously enviable pedigrees, proven offspring and highly coveted top-performing dams.

In this year’s foal and embryo auction, the collection is the most impressive yet for buyers hoping to acquire an exceptional young sports horse. The auction will be held live in the International Arena on Friday 20th August, and bids will be accepted in person, online, and by telephone.

These Lots have been carefully selected based on their depth of bloodlines, as well as their close resemblances to 1.60m horses, or performance at the highest levels. It’s a rare opportunity to acquire a foal or embryo from one of showjumping’s most prestigious bloodlines, coupled with one of the world’s greatest and most highly regarded sires.

A good example of this is Arkola, by the legendary Arko III and out of the highly anticipated prolific Nations Cup & World Cup performer of Lauren Hough, Ohlala. This athletic colt has exceptional showjumping blood and promises to live up to his impressive breeding.

Additionally, this collection offers two exclusive chances to purchase a foal out of top mare Wild Rose, a former ride of Michael Whitaker. One of the selections is the promising filly Wild Flower HF by legendary stallion Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve and another is Wild Life by 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist, Big Star.

If top performance wasn’t enough in a dam, Wild Rose is also uterine sister to many successful athletes including former 1.60m ride of Ben Maher Drop Shot, 1.40m performer Giga Dance and successful showjumper turned eventer stallion, Cadillac posting results up to CIC3* level with Izzy Taylor.

Nina Barbour, Managing Director of Bolesworth, said:

“This truly is the best collection of foals and embryos we have offered, every single one promises world-class potential. We’ve always had a strong focus on the dam lines of the Lots we have offered, this year once again includes exclusively Black Type dams with a fantastic pedigree, but also dams which already have proven offspring competing on the global stage, as well as top-performing mares in their own right too. We’re excited to be able to offer this calibre of youngstock to potential buyers at the auction as well as provide a platform for vendors to showcase their horses at too.

“The Science Supplements Bolesworth Elite Auctions is now in its seventh year; we believe we have created a truly unique opportunity in the UK to find and secure future talent with our proven auction format. Many of the previous auction graduates are now performing successfully on the international stage and we look forward to following the exciting careers of this collection of foals in the future too.”

Providing a rare opportunity to purchase a strong colt out of a highly consistent dam, is Cabago WY Z, out of Whoopie C, a Grand Prix mare herself who is the dam of CSI 5* Winner in Florida this year, licensed stallion Tobago Z. These highly desirable bloodlines ensure the optimum potential to deliver top performance, athleticism, scope and ability in their offspring, ensuring that they are destined for elite sport in the future.

Bolesworth Elite Auctions offer a wide range of future superstars through their established selection and vetting process, which enables them to offer a truly excellent lineup of future talent.
