Chester Cycle Tours is running a series of FREE events in February and March to get adults back on their bikes and pedalling around the city.

The event, which is totally free, is sponsored by Cycling UK, the aim of which is to give people who are new to cycling or haven’t cycled in a while the confidence to ride on Chester’s roads.

Two courses are being offered by Chester Cycle Tours, a first course that takes place on quieter streets, and a second course that aims to get locals cycling safely into the city centre. Interested participants may sign up for either course or both, as there are currently still places available for both experienced and beginner cyclists.

In small groups, courses are tailored to the needs of participants, building confidence by teaching the key skills needed to navigate both quiet and busier roads safely.

The course is run by Karen who is a National Standards Cycle Instructor, she often takes visitors on historical tours of Chester, introducing them to the people and places that have shaped Chester into the historic city it is today. As well as providing tours, Karen is passionate about encouraging locals to take up cycling again – while maintaining a high standard of safety.
